Following the opening, Secretary Wang, the Party Secretary of the School of Life Science and Technology, presented an overview of the school’s development and academic construction. In recent years, with strong support from the university, the school has been recognized with three provincial and municipal platforms for international cooperation and exchange. Efforts have been intensified to enhance internationalization through hosting international conferences, faculty and student exchanges abroad, and enrolling international students, all contributing to the improvement of the quality of education and talent cultivation.

 

Director Hu, the head of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of her department and expressed sincere gratitude to the attending experts. She emphasized that Xidian University has been implementing the educational openness required in the new era, serving the national foreign policy strategy, and actively responding to the national "Belt and Road" initiative by signing inter-university cooperation and exchange agreements with domestic and international universities and multinational companies, and establishing joint laboratories.

 

The workshop aimed to discuss how to fully leverage the role of biomarkers in providing new ideas and methods for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, thereby ensuring the advancement of medical technology to safeguard human health and promote high-quality social development. The conference featured enlightening reports and productive presentations by 21 experts from home and abroad and three graduate students, covering topics such as diseases and biomarkers, molecular imaging and nanoprobes, new drug development and applications, detection of disease biomarkers, microfluidic chips and biochips, and clinical studies of diseases. These discussions provided new insights, methods, and opportunities for collaboration to researchers dedicated to the field of diseases and biomarkers.
